Located in Orange County, San Clemente is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Southern California. The official nickname of San Clemente is the “Spanish Village by the Sea,” given by the early colonization of the city by Spaniards. The area was practically uninhabited until 1776, when Mission San Juan Capistrano was formally established. Following the establishment of this mission, both Indians and Spanish settlers started to live in nearby villages. San Clemente was officially named a city until 1928.
Today, the destination is known for its majestic Southern California weather, spectacular views, and comfortable atmosphere. A more unique aspect of this city is that it provides visitors and residents with both ocean and mountain views. There is a wide variety to do, from shopping and dining, to exploring the many natural attractions.
